The power of contouring: Kanye West is transformed into wife Kim Kardashian with clever make-up tricks (and editing skills)

People say couples who spend a lot of time together eventually end up copying each other's mannerisms and dressing alike. 

But one Middle Eastern artist has revealed just how similar Kanye West looks to Kim Kardashian with the help of some clever make-up (and video editing) tricks. 

A satirist and sociopolitical activist, who goes by the pseudonym Saint Hoax, has created a time-lapse film and used the power of contouring to turn the 38-year-old American rapper into his reality television star wife, 35.

The final frame of Saint Hoax's comical video reveals that contouring has turned the musician into wife Kim 

The video has so far attracted over 41,000 likes from fans and over 18,000 comments. 

'Even they are the same people,' wrote one amazed contributor, while another added: 'Contouring goals.'

An online user also quipped: 'I can't figure out which is better.'

Comical artist Saint Hoax has also performed the technique on Beyonce and Jay Z, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and Drake and Nicki Minaj. 

Describing his work on his website, he wrote: 'An embedded infatuation with pop culture and politics drove Saint Hoax to share his vision. 

'Hoax combines tangible and digital mediums to create beautiful visual lies that tell an ugly truth.'

Kim Kardashian has been working with celebrity make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic for eight years and has helped popularise the face-sculpting make-up technique.
