A need for speed! Game Of Thrones star Peter Dinklage whizzes through New York on his trendy scooter

Peter Dinklage showed there's no need to walk when you can zip along on two wheels.

The 46-year-old actor was pictured whizzing along New York City's Meatpacking District on Monday on his scooter, as he chose a quicker alternative.

Despite his unusual mode of transportation, the Game Of Thrones star kept a low profile in a grey sweater, which he wore with the hood up.

The Golden Globe winner wore a trendy leather jacket over the top and hid behind a pair of sunglasses, topping off the look with a pair of baggy jeans and Asics trainers.

Peter is regularly pictured getting out and about on his scooter and his four-year-old daughter Zelig has even got her own pink version.

The 4ft5in scene stealer, is best known for his role as Tyrion Lannister on tHBO's Game of Thrones.

It's a busy time for the star who is providing the voice of the Mighty Eagle in the upcoming Angry Birds movie.

It was also recently announced that he'll have a starring role in crime movie, The Thicket, as a character called Shorty.

The movie tells the story of Jack Parker who thought he'd already seen his fair share of tragedy. His grandmother was killed in a farm accident when he was barely five years old.
