Cooking the perfect roast potatoes and offering to the split the bill are just two qualities possessed by the modern lady, according to a magazine.
Hot on its description of the qualities that make up the modern gentleman, Country Life magazine has listed the 39 attributes necessary for women in today's world.
And according to the upper crust rural bible, natural-looking eyebrows are a must and owning a 'handbag' dog is a cardinal sin.
Other behavious includes never downing a drink in one, and knowing how to prepare a pheasant, rabbit and fish.
She knows how to deflect a lecher with kindess and a proposal with grace and knows all the best songs to ensure a long car journey passes quickly.
Country Life said: 'We've heard all about the criteria that make a gentleman and our list - part serious, part tongue-in-cheek - seemed to strike such a chord in a society that desperately needs to be kinder to itself that we felt it was only fair to present the female view, too.
'The central principle is the same - generosity and graciousness are more important than fine feathers and a lady can come from any walk of life - but there's one key difference: a capable lady knows when to let her gentleman take charge (or let him think so).'
