Barcelona star Lionel Messi has failed to control his feelings towards RONALDINHO, hands down a signed club shirt as a mark of friendship and admiration for the Brazilian!!!

Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho, two legendary Barcelona No 10s and close friends, it's a relationship that has flourished ever since the Argentinian walked into the changing room as a talented 16-year-old.

The pair played together at the Nou Camp between 2004-08 and developed a special bond, as Messi began the process of becoming the Brazilian's successor.

The Argentinian sent Ronaldinho a signed club shirt as a surprise to show his admiration, and gave it to Barca TV when they travelled to Miami to speak to the playmaker on the 10th anniversary of the 3-0 victory over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

The pair enjoyed a close relationship, as Ronaldinho took Messi under his wing when he was the club.

It was a nice touch from Messi, as he remembers the way Ronaldinho took him under his wing during his development.

The 35-year-old took to Instagram and expressed his delight at receiving the gift from his friend.

The Argentinian has recovered from his knee injury to try help Barca retain the La Liga title

He said: 'Look what my partner @leomessi wrote in shirt handed me !! On my facebook has his picture when he was signing !! Cool!!.'

Ronaldinho is currently without a club after leaving Brazilian outfit Fluminense in September and the former Ballon d'Or winner appears to be heading towards retirement.

Messi on the other hand is fighting fit after recovering from his serious knee injury and is back in the Barcelona side currently sitting top of La Liga.
