Remembrance: Celine's longtime manager and husband of 21-years passed away on January 14 aged 73

The singer cancelled all her performances until February 23 after the death of her beloved husband and, two days later, the death of her brother Danny Dion.

Rene died at the age of 73 on January 14, after a long battle with cancer.

The pair first met when she was 12 and he was her manager, before going on to marry and have three children: Rene-Charles, 15 and five-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson.

Rene was laid to rest in an elaborate public funeral at Notre-Dame Basilica, the same place the couple wed, in Montreal last month.

In mourning: The singer held her five-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson by the hand as the family arrived at Rene's funeral in Montreal on January 22

Daniel, 59, was one of Celine's 13 siblings and had been suffering from brain, tongue and throat cancer when he died on January 16.

The singer was too distraught to attend his funeral, instead paying her respects at a small family gathering held at Salon Charles Rajotte in Repentigny, Quebec.

On Friday, Celine thanked fans for their support during this difficult time.

My family and I are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from so many people who have touched our lives during these past few days,' she wrote on her website.

'We have felt your love for René, and your prayers and compassion have helped us during this most difficult time… more than you’ll ever know.'

'I thank you from the bottom of my heart.'
